tuck sound on steering wheel

For years now and I'm having this problem with my Ibiza Cupra MK5 Turbo 1.8 16v... I hear a tuck noise coming from the front left side (started there now both sides) once i move my steering wheel left and right.

i have taken the car to the dealer and after two years of R&D they said it's manufacturing fault... has anyone come across this issue before ??

I never knew the mk5 came out in a 1.8 engine........
