What are your opinions? which is better, I currently own a petrol Vectra (remapped) but am buying a FR TDi next year, so would like to know your opinions on tuning box over Remap....

tuning boxes just increase fuel under load , remaps up boost as well and we like that
One of the lads has a tuning box for his Vec TDi and it has increased his BHP quite considerably.....

cheers, thats all I needed to know..... well almost from reading the forum, 202 bhp is the roundabout figure after remapping the 150, can it go further?

not really on the standard turbo , things tend to go melty melty after that , at 200bhp it will be quick

Dont forget at 200bhp a diesel will have oodles more torque than a petrol car so midrange performance will be a monster!!! To a point where you might even have to fit an uprated clutch depending on the condition and previous use of the clutch.
Diesels can produce so much torque that the clutch will just slip away. Again with a remap if this does happen at 200bhp we can fine tune the map to reduce torque in certain areas of the rev range so this does not happen if you didnt want the extra expense of uprating the clutch plates. You would then literally be moding the car to its max in its current form.

Yes it is...... we have been up the last two years in November, top quality service from the guys there. Gained over 16 bhp from a petrol remap, well impressed as the car has 122,000 on the clock.
Will speak more about the remaps when I get the car, thanks for the kind offer.
