Turbo Actuator

Hi All,

Just taken my 2010 Ibiza 1.4TDI ECOMOTIVE, to the garage and the turbo actuator is faulty, so at the min i am on half power!

The mechanic apparently states that seat (VW) don't do just the actuator as a part and thus i have to buy the full Turbo set up (£500+).

Can anyone confirm this as i find it hard to believe. Also, if this is lies does anyone have or know anywhere that may have one??

There's plenty of talk about this happening, the actuator is paired to the turbo so you have to replace both, I also believe there was a recall with regards to actuator failure, where they put a shim between the turbo and the actuator

You may not need to replace your turbo or actuator, I fixed mine with a bit of lube and superglue:
