Turbo flutter

Hello, I have a ibiza fr with a 150pd turbo fitted. The turbo is about 6 months old and recently started leaking some air on boost and then flutters on lift off. Fitted a darkside intercooler with egr valve cooler and delete and it has not changed.

That noise is how a VNT dumps the boost when you lift off the accelerator. It shouldn't be that loud though unless you have a straight through exhaust.

It sounds like the leak could be the turbo exit pipe, but check the whole system for leaks. Have you had a de-cat pipe fitted?

Yea, I have a miltek de cat fitted. I will check the pipes again at the weekend . I thought it could have been leaking through the wastegate but wasn't sure

Diesels don't have a wastegate, they have VNT or 'veins'. So that isn't leaking

The Miltek does make the 'pigeon noise' more louder. I wouldn't worry to much unless you have a exhaust leak?

Yea not concerned about that noise, just the flutter sound had me worried.
