The lad I bought my car from said that Halfrauds do one for £35 which his mate had fitted and it worked fine!
Might give it a go myself

just bear in mind you won't be able to lock the car with it running because when the engine stops the doors will open. Save yourself some money and just take it easy for the last couple of miles of your journey or if you can't do that then leave the car running when you stop for a couple of minutes

Is it worth fitting one of these to a leon cupra ?

If you can get one fitted that works with the immobiliser and central locking then I say go for it. The biggest killer of turbos is hot oil caking inside them. I always ran a turbo timer on my Skyline - at least three minutes after every run.

Failing that, like Rich says, run it for a few minutes when you get wherever you're going, and make sure you keep the oil fresh (regular changes):cartman:

Best way out is to fit an alarm with a turbotimer included.

But do check, because TurboTimers are ilegal in some countries

In this country their legality is down to the fact that you are effectively "quitting" your car - (ie leaving it unattended with the engine running). Most turbo timers are fitted with an anti theft switch which connects to the handbrake - let off the handbrake to steal the car and the engine is cut and won't start again wihout the key.
All new response police cars (Traffic and immediate response vehicles) are fitted with a similar device allowing them to leave the engine running at accident scenes etc so the emergency lights don't drain the battery. They work on the same safety principal that if the handbrake is released (or DRIVE is selected) the engine cuts out.
Police DO NOT have an exemption to this traffic law, so I can't see how they can stick you on for having one!
Try it and see... I never had a problem with my Skyline and that was regularly parked in the back yard of a Police Station with the turbo timer running!
