Turning off Rear Wiper ?

Hi

Does anybody know if the rear wiper can be disengaged through VAG COM from when selecting reverse gear whilst front wipers are on ?

Dealer saying they don't think it can but the problem I had was that it engaged whilst cycle rack was on back of the car and because the motor must have kept running it basically sheared off the wiper arm !!!

Thanks in advance - I don't really want to remember to turn my front wipers off in future if using reverse and carrying the bikes !!

Not too sure but if its that much of a prob then you could unplug the rear wiper motor

It can.

You can either turn off comfort wiping (lol) or turn it off all together

comfort wiping is where if you have the front wipers on, and you engage reverse the rear wiper will kick in.

You need VCDS (VAGCOM) or your dealer should be able to do this.

I have deleted the viper completely on mine

Looks nice and I really don't miss it daily driving
