Tyre Pressures

Please could someone help with a bit of info on tyre pressures?

I would like to know the recommended pressures for cars with the standard 215/55 tyres on 16" wheels. My car has non-standard tyres on 17" wheels and the pressures given in the fuel flap seem high (they are for the standard tyres). So I am looking for the 16" info for comparison.
Checking the web has thrown up quite a range of pressures - hard to know which ones are accurate!

So I hope an owner can shed some light.

Many thanks.

I have sets of figures on my car.

one set for 225/45x17 and another st for a smaller "spacesaver" - but not exactly small, as spare.

for the 17" rims, the normals settings are 42 psi front/40 psi rear

I don't think this answers the question!

Thanks 100 but that's the info I already have 'cos the previous tyres were that spec. (Although mine does say 42F/42B for normal load).

That's where I am at the moment.

For comparison, I looked on the web for the figures for 215/55/16 which is the standard fitment on many versions of both Alhambra and Sharan and has very similar proportions to my tyres.
I found a range: 35 - 39 front; 34 - 40 back.

The SEAT site does not give this info so I posted here having seen that quite a lot of folk have the 16" versions.
