VERY common type in uneven tyre wear in the search bit and you will hear about lots of people with this issue, I personally have not had this thou.
best is to replace the front bushes with stiffer cupra bushes for the front, this will aid in keeping the tracking in touch
I have a 04 FR 20VT the tyres seem to be wearing very evenly, does the FR have the same bushes as the Curpra?

Its more than likely to be the bushes as suggested above as this was the problem with mine.
Was a £500 to sort out with the roll bar.
I'd seriously push to get it done under warranty if possible. They might deny the problem exists, but I've written to SEAT UK because I was so irked. Happened just after the car was out of warranty.

i hate going to my dealer, they suck. i think iv been blacklisted now because iv complained soo much about them to their MD. lol
no, apparently they do not have the metal bit in the centre of them like the cupra ones I am getting mine replaced soon
I see, can you report back if it makes any difference? how much more does your engine weigh compared to the 1.8T? would that affect anything?
The Cupra TCA rear bushes are solid rubber, so stiffer, all the other Ibizas have voided TCA rear bushes which are softer so allow a lot of movement. The camber on the Cupra will probably be slightly "more" than the lesser Ibizas. This is just, as said, the price you pay for needing good front grip with cheap suspension and wide tyres. The camber can be altered, my wife's Polo has the Cupra bushes and has had no front wheel kerbing etc, and has had four wheel alignment done twice, but I reckon that it is still wearing the inside of the front tyres quite quickly - so they will need swopped front>rear to increase their life a bit.
yup! in my experience I have gone through 3 sets of front Bridgestone Turanzas in six years because the insides of the front tyres have gone practically bald whilst the outsides have still had 4mm on. The back tyres hardly wear at all. And I only do around 5000 miles a year.
Every time I've had new fitted I've got them to check the tracking and they've found no problems with it.
Now I've got to replace all 4 tyres and I'm wondering whether to go for Eagle F1s - do they wear any better than the Bridgestones?

Can't comment on bridgestone wear in comparison as my car came with Michelin Pilots but I have F1s just a word to warn they are scarce now think Goodyear sell a newer version or something now so most people are going for T1rs. I love my F1s they are not cheap and not fun to get at short notice which stressed me out!
hey i have a 54 plate fr, i noticed my bushes were about shot, so replaced them with the cupra ones, they were about 18 quid or something for the pair, i however bought a pair of bridgestones before i knew they were shot. now my near side front is going bald on the inside (the side that had the most shot bush) and the other isnt to bad even still i give them alot of stick and seem to be holding up pretty well, around 8000 miles on them and have about 4mm left. i work at a tyre company as my saturday job, but im thinking cheaper tyres next, been looking into either toyos or something like the high end falken range, good reviews from both. after all if its cheaper i dont mind ripping them up 
I can probably lay the blame on my rear arb and wheel cocking action. I have had the common front tyre wear though, made the inner edge a very strange shape.
Id heard about this before, and have kept an eye on my tyres. It was not untill yesterday when I changed my pads and disks that I noticed the inside edge has scrubed badly. About 5mm everywhere and ~2mm on the inside edge, but only an inch or so. I Think the bushes were changed about 20K ago just before I got the car, so wouldnt have thought they would have gone again?
