Ugly dashboard

Hi guys, I am now a proud owner of a MK2 Leon FR TFSI 2.0.. I love the car, however, what can I do with the dash?

I've tried searching but can't find anything.. are there any guides or pics of people changing the colour of the dash?

I also want to fit in an aftermarket stereo... any ideas? I'm on a budget!

I cannot tell you anything about the dash but I recently bought an RCD510 if you search for rcd510 review you should see my post if you want to check that out... Got it for £125 delivered... Straight swap from the standard unit even I did it with zero expertise lol

You could paint the centre console, mines is silver as standard and I quite like it

Sorry to hi-jack the thread, but i am fitting a RCD510 this weekend (ebay bargain).
Is it literally plug an play as i have read in places about pin 16. Not sure what they mean by this.

ive had mine done black wit the ogg bits done white/orange cars in garage till tomorrow will get some pics when its back for you

friend of mine did it for me so I didn't get charged full price ;) but I think he charges £100 to do it, that's taking the dash heater rings gear knob off n out the car and done and re fitted but I may be wrong on the price!

Do all these dash parts just pop off & out then allowing them to be colour coded etc? If so that's my NEXT job lol.. As that looks mint!! :)

The fascia around the stereo just clips out. The fascia around the heater controls has two screws and then pulls out. The instrument cover has 1 (or maybe two) screws and then clips out!
