Unable to activate full-link

Hello

I have visited an official Seat dealership and they were unable to activate full-link. They said that it was either a problem with the radio or the usb port and even went on to say that a full replacement of the head unit could be necessary.

I recently upgraded my head unit from a 5" base model to a 6.5" one. This new one is still an official Seat part. I also had to go to an independent garage to remove "Component Protection Active" message on the new head unit. However, the head unit was working for a while before the CP message showed. At that time, full-link was activated. When I took it to the independent garage they had to factory reset everything, which meant removing full-link too. So this is why I am attempting to active it via a dealership.

Any help?

Do you have two usb ports or one? Had you used Android Auto or Apple Carplay successfully?
I have one port. But yes it was activated on the head unit for a short while but I do recall having compatibility problems with my phone
