Under Bonnet Rattle

Can anyone help. There is a rattle under the bonnet when i start the car from cold. Thought about it being an exhaust problem but read the thread on the tdi boost pipe rattle and wondered if this could be similar.

metallic or plasic sounding? could be heat shielding, engine covers....anything really

Sounds slightly metallic and it goes when you restart from warm. My suspicion is heat shielding ah well jack the car up and have a look!!!!
