Well, thought I'd put up a few words about the Uniroyal's now I've had the fronts fitted a few weeks. When I 1st had them fitted, the weather was quite good, so got about a week of dry weather driving into them, and i must say, from the moment I drove out of National tyres, who fitted them for £20 (fronts only), after I got the tyres from www.camskill.co.uk for £195 delivered for the 225/40/18's, that the level of grip over the Falken 452's I was running before was like night and day. Even with the stickers still on, there was no traction control intervention after 1st gear, even when proper thrapping it! They are smooth, quiet, and look pretty good as well. Then at the beginning of last week, the normal british summer started, and then these tyres really came into their own. The level of wet grip is out of this world! I can honestly say, with no hesitation or exaggeration, thet they give as much grip in very wet conditions, as the Falkens did in the dry. Now I'm not one to drive like a loon in the wet, but on my way down the M6 on Monday, doing about 70'ish in the middle lane, a truck pulled out in front of me, about 75 meters ahead, and he can't have been doing much over 40. I instinctively slammed on the anchors and safely swung into the outside lane, through quite a bit of standing water, and there was not a hint of ABS as I not only braked heavily, but changed lanes as well. Now for me, this single event justified to me buying these tyres, instead of getting anything else. The dry grip is fantastic, but the level of safety they give in the wet means I will probably never buy any other model of tyre, as long as they keep making them of course. Well, just thought I'd share my thoughts, just in case someone is umming and arring about buying some...just do it!

Cheers for the review, have been looking at these and they appear to be a bit of a bargain too. How are your finding them noise and comfort wise? I'm currently running the OE Pirelli PZero Rossos which seem to make quite a racket on rough surfaces, would be nice to find something a little quieter for my next tires!

Noise wise, they are a big improvement, but I'm still running Pirelli Rosso's on the rear, so not completely sure how much quieter they would be with all 4 fitted. Comfort wise, better than the Falken's, but a Cupra is never going to be the most comfortable ride due to being so stiff. Well worth the money in all aspect in my opinion though.

Agreed

I run these on my 3.2 MK1 TT and would agree with everything said. I had them on thr fronts at first but recently got them on the rear too. Felt a bit wallowy (?) at first but once inflated to the correct pressures they are great.

Very comfortable compared to the P zeros they replaced and give extra confidence in the wet, so perfect for this summer ! Quiet too.

You can get them atgood prices too - I paid £115 per corner fitted and balanced.

They're the dogs bollox those tyres, been running them a while now and really happy with them, wont fit anything else.:)

I have had these fitted on the front since last October, and have to say have been very happy with them.
Also they I found them brilliant in all the horrible weather we had over winter. . .
Would happily buy them again. :)

Could do with a review section somewhere, this is like the 5th thread reviewing these tyres lol, I did one when I first got them too, they're that good you just want to tell anyone who'll listen.:)

had these on since feb march time and can 100% agree with the Op....for the price, they really can't be beat, you'll get roughly 20k+ out of them, as i ran them on my old astra as well and had done around 19k on them before i chopped it and still had 2-3mm left on them!

really are the best tyres i've ever used and won't go for anything else!! need 2 more on the rear very soon though! lol

Great review

£118 fully fitted at Blackcircles at the moment, not bad I think. Will certainly consider these once the P Zero Rosso's are done as they are way too noisy for my liking.
