Does it fit int eh head shield? Looks huge and I don't really like the green

Mean with a heat shield? Haven't tried yet mate, gotta get one made up soon! Yeah it's massive trust me, get a lot more dv noise now, also has built in velocity stack which most reckon is a added bonus! The green is the only real downer but you can get K&N ones which are red but they come slightly oiled!
 
Yeah the cupra 180 has a 70mm neck, the links I posted will fit, same kit im buying


Ordered the heat shield and a ram air filter but I reckon an extra hose is needed, from the MAF threw the hole and then to induction kit. Don't honk the shield and maf will line up right
 
Already got a ram air delivered, what's wrong with them?

They massively restrict the air getting sucked in, they're fine for NA engines but no good for turbo because they suck in loads more air. Much better off with something like a jetex cone or similar.
 
I'll see what it's like got a heat shield and cold air feed for it aswell so hopefully shouldn't be too bad, got a cheap universal k&n style twin cone atm so might clean that up and put it back on if I'm not happy with the ramair
 
Cold air feed is the worst thing you can do, the filter is restrictive enough. Noticed a huuge power loss with kine hooked up, if you don't wanna spend much coin then get the s2000 kit and forget the heat shield (they're mostly aesthetic anyway).
 
**** guys ive just ordered a ram air enclosed filter from ebay for 60 quid am i likely to loose power? also got a recirculating bov dump valve coming i no thats another story i am new here cheers
 
Ram air = baaaad! Could have got a nice jetex cone for that.

Say it's the wrong one and get a refund n get a nice cone, will make your recirc valve sound nicer too.
Mine was reallly down on power with my ram air on...and I was terrified of deep puddles lol

ive sent then an email will the recirc valve be ok i think ive read that it recircs 80% and dumps of the last 20 im no expert as u can see i guess , wish i had came here before spending money ,ill look into the other filter u mentioned cheers for the help trying my best on here lol
 
its the lc and got a recirculating dump valve bov it was on ebay for 35 quid so thought was worth a try ,i had heard though they can cause problems hense why i came here .wish i had done my research before hand ill live and ill live and learn i guess :)
 
Which valve is it? Forge 007p? SplitR?

it doesent say all i no its from racespec , and im really not clued up on this type of stuff i was told to make sure it was a bov, so i guessed it was the one its does say its a recirculatiing bov fingers crossed ill be able to just get refunded for the item or items prob just go for the remap and leave it alone , promissed my self i wouldnt be doing this stuff to cars anymore ive had the lc 2 days and here i am lol cheers for all the help much appreciated
 
Get yourself a forge 007p and a decent dry cone filter or a cotton panel filter and look up tutorials on smoothing your air box. No point in mapping without the necessities. Never heard of that valve, got the link fornit? (Sorry if I don't reply straight away, sorta falling asleep)
