Someone local is selling a large intercooler, just the core, brand new in box. It's cheap and got me wondering, would a bigger core intercooler to my K1 be worth it? Or would it be more hassle than its worth getting piping etc?

Anyone done this to a Cupra? Or has everyone just used FORGE, THS or S3 intercoolers?

Personally I wouldn't bother, I would get a proper fitting one as I think they work better and would be a lot easier to fit

id go for the S3 fmic like me m8 with the metal ends, straight swap and you can run more power
roughly around the £320 mark brand new
you just need new longer bolts and some new clamps

Cheers big eck, I'll keep an eye out :)

Toosmiles, that's pretty good actually, that everything you need for K1 fitment? And it's a good upgrade over stock?

tis a bit wider and has metal ends so you can run more boost/power etc
straight fit m8 with the longer bolts,
on ours have metal ends on the pipe which need to be cut off then just new clamps on m8
a bit of a read m8

Tread carefully friend, too big a cooler may increase lag and reduce throttle response....
