Unlock and lock coming/leaving home function

I think you can only have the coming home function with auto lights. Had it on my last leon that had the convenience pack but my current one doesn't. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though, because I'd like to be able to activate it also
I have autolights and mine works automatically. There are times when the lights don't switch on themselves when youve unlocked the car but if you press the unlock button again they'll turn on.
The lights always stay on for about 30 secs when locking the car as long as its dark enough.

I can select in the menu how long it stays on for but the issue is that it doesn't stay on when taking the key out of the ignition or opening the car when pressing the key.
I've got a vagcom but not sure if this option is in there to turn on or would I have to get the additional auto ligh pack fitted?

You can't active it on unlock without Autolights.
If you want it activated when you are getting out of the car you need to flash the headlights then it will activate when you open the door.

Mine always works when the light switch is set to Auto, don't work when the light switch is put to off, no flashing of lights needed.

That's because you have auto lights.
Mine works the same as yours but if you don't have auto lights you need to flash.....
Just noticed the op has auto lights tho so it should work automatically upon a press of the key / opening the door when getting out as long as the lights are set to auto.

The light switch needs to be in auto and it has to be dark enough for the car to switch on CH/LH lights!
I've noticed that the leaving home lights are triggered by opening the drivers door within a certain time from stopping the engine, I've altered mine with VCDS to be triggered by the ignition being turned off rather than the drivers door being opened, as I find it more predictable.
Try pulling the indicator lever forward as though you were flashing the headlights just before you open the door.

Go through all your settings and just double check. I always recommend people doing a factory reset with the head unit when they have issues like this, it normally sorts it

Fair enough. My coming home works when I pull the inicator but I was looking to see if I was able to set so the drls come on when you unlock/lock the car. It looks like I need the convieneice pack. Shame this can't be tweaked via the vagcom/vcds. Cheers for the advice though.
