upgrade calipers

hi there
on my leon, i want to upgrade to a 2 pot caliper soon, the problem i have is my caliper is connected to the hub, correct me if im wrong and the carrier is connected to this aswell, only the caliper comes away, i am looking to get the hubs from either the 130 tdi or 150 so that i can upgrade my calipers cause with these the carrier and caliper come off, is this the hub i need to change? or is it something else?

If only the caliper comes off the hub and the carrier is integral then yes, you'd need to change the hub to one that the carrier can be removed from.

so do you think the hub from a 130 or 150 fit the 110??

I've not seen both to check however i can't think of a reason why they wouldn't - suspension is the same so the mounting points and driveshafts should be the same too.

you need to change for any car with 312 or 288mm front brakes, these have separate carriers that are not part of the hub casting - 130 or 150tdi's, GTI's etc (leon, golf, probably octavia, audi's)

TT brakes, 312's, are a good upgrade if you are on 16" wheels or bigger

i have currently 16 inch wheels on at the moment but when i get a few more bob i will be getting 18's
anyone think of a good starting point where i can get these hubs????

im just wondering i can get hold of the front hubs from a golf mk4 whihc the caliper and carrier come away, will this fit a mk1 leon??? and how much do you think i will be looking at paying?
