Does anyone run any different cams in big turbo 1.8t set ups if so what difference do they have or are the standard ones pretty good?

Gizmox has just purchased a set of "performance" cams from Jabba. Its for his highly tuned TT.

I think Caney is also after cams, im sure their post will be coming here very soon as they do know their stuff.

I have just fitted some eurospec cams to my car. Not sure if they will make much difference. However if you want a cheap cam upgrade, find some 1.8 20v NON turbo cams. They will work really well

There is a NA engine at my local breakers. Do I steal the cams out of it? Need specs.

N/A cams have ben proven to be well suited to LARGE turbo'd cars, (gt3071 or bigger), they have higher lift which allows for greater flow at high revs.

Good tuner mate of mine has proved it on a 550bhp LCR with GT35, said that they worked well with the big turbo. Its also common knowledge on the 5cyl 20V motors that fitting at least the exhaust camshaft from a N/A car works great on larger turbos (BTDT myself).

INA, whats wrong with the Eurospec cams? Feedback? Worse than stock?

Tom,i spoke to the guy with the 550bhp corrado and he said stay clear of the n/a cams!Said they give you hardly any low down grunt.

Did this Corrado owner have his engine built or tuned at Jabba sport per chance?

We did a few different cam development profiles for Jabba sport for a big power Corrado and one of the trials was with NA cams?

Kind Regards
