I have a 2000 Toledo V5 (150) with a water leak which is now quite severe. I have changed the Flange which needed done but their is another, bigger, leak from the very rear of the engine. It appears to be coming from the cylinder head area as water is running down the underside of the exhaust manifold and down from there, and also along the lip of the block before dripping over the driveshaft. It is impossible to see exactly where it is coming from but is underneath the air intake gubbins.
I don't believe it is the head gasket as the water temp is bang on a steady 90deg and there is no build up of pressure or evidence of mayo or bubbles.
It is at the garage now but they have no experience of the V5. Before undertaking any unnecessary work can anybody offer a reasoned explaination of where this leak may be coming from. Starting to get a bit desperate now.
Has anyone got a decent diagram of this engine which shows the rear of it?
Many thanks in anticipation,
Tim
