v5 screetch

there a load screetching metalic rubbing noise coming from my drive belt area and i cant work out if its the tensioner of the alternator how can i untension the tensioner to remove the belt all i can see if 3 bolts holding it onto the block its a 10v 99 toledo v5. thanks

if i remember correctly
8mm threaded bolt and wind it down the tensioner from top to release the tensioner pressure

mines the other style where you cant do thjat. i tried a 16mm spanner on the tensioner wheel and it wont budge. ive ordered a new one for monday will i be ok driving it like that.?
