just a small question how much vac should i be getting as i appear to be getting more after fitting my new intercooler, i think i read a thread on something like this a while ago any ideas?

I've a feeling it depends where you're boost/vac gauge is plumbed in? I've tried finding this out too by the way, as I've got quite a high vac reading @ 40cmHg on idle. I'm not sure if it's good or bad to have a high reading though and what causes it? Hopefully someonje can confirm...

What reading are you getting BTW?

currently about 17 at idle and goin to about 19 20 when im crusing no throttle?

Tommy, is your gauge measured in PSI / InHg? If so 17-20 InHg is around 43-45 cmHg. Mine reads in cmHg as it's a Bar not PSI gauge. So mine @ 40cmHg = approx 15InHg.

tom fella move ur gauge vac tube as said mate when u want to meet up mate i need some tools

no prob mate il b home about 6 tonight, ye we should move it see if i get better readings but need to blank off that t piece aswell

phone me when u come home ill pop down and do it for u mate if u want

update me and dai moved where the boost gaugue was plumbed into and is now reading around 25 to 30 hgin! also my car seems to be pulling alot better :) must have had a leak on the t piece that joins it!!!

moved it to a vac pipe above the washer bottle with like a green bit on, which we cut off and plumbed the pipe into, not very tech answer but i duno wat to call it lol
