Dont know if anyone can help but here goes...

Im trying to use a work laptop that has Vag-com installed and it connects perfectly to my car but i have a problem SAVING the settings to the car.
I get an error saying that i need Administrator rights as its obviously trying to save the data to a specific file/folder on the laptop that is protected.

My question is does anyone know what files or folders data is saved to as I can get the protection removed from them if i know which ones?

Thanks...

As i say its a Work laptop that is pretty well locked down in certain aspects. A technician will take off the protection on certain files if i can tell him what they are.
Im sure all XP updates etc are installed.

I get an error when im trying to saving a change to a setting (1 to 0 etc).
I aint the most computer literate in the world! i may just buy myself another laptop..

no probs, yeah if he can't do that for you, prob best grabbing a cheappy old lappy off ebay and using it!

tons of old laptops on ebay for about £50 upwards!

or just buy a second hand 2.5" hard drive for 20 or 30 quid, build it up whatever way you want and swap it in when you want to use vagcom, means you can download as much **** as you want too and work will never know! haha
