Vag Com on windows 7 (Help)

Hi people

I have Full vag com cd and ive just Installed it on to my new Windowns 7 Laptop but it wont work..

Its the 311 version any idea how i can get this to work as i need to read the Codes asap..

anyway help thanks..


Ps i did install the drivers but im guessing that was for XP..

you need vcds lite not vag-com. Can download it from ross-tech.

There has been "some" success of right clicking on the icon and running it in a different mode but doesn't seem to work for all

Ive just tryed VCD lite with no joy it wont reconize my Lead...

I have the OLD drivers for my 311...Selecting the Port is hard as it wont reconize it when i go in to the options menu in VCD

You need to run it in admin mode at the very least. That's not the same as running it from an admin user, you have to right click and 'run as administrator'. It relies on very low level comms which anything less than admin cannot provide.

I have no problem running it on my Windows 7 laptop, but without admin mode it won't do anything.

Did this for my mate with his laptop on windows 7. Right click on VAG com icon properties and look for the option to run in Windows XP.

Worked first go for me

So i have to use Admin Mode( which i was already Using)

Also downloaded the VCD lite and tryed that and aslo sorted the com port to 1 but it wont work on the lead..ffs
