VAG-COM VCDS-908 Not Working in Leon Fr MK2

Hi All,

I wonder if anyone can shed any light on the following problem I am having...


I've just taken delivery of a new Seat Leon FR 170 and when I got it home I plugged my VAG-COM in to see what can be done.



the cable works fine on other VAG cars, but for some reason, it cannot read my car. It says the cable is on, but it will not connect.


The car is the new 2011 model, and I believe it has the security protected EDC17 ECU; could this be why it does not recognise the cable/Car???

What Santos did not say is that 908 was released in August of 2009. You are riding in a 2011 model. The software you are using is not clairvoyant - it could not possibly know what Seat would release in a 2011 model.

The 10.6 version does have a clue as to what is going on in the new models so, Santos is correct - you should update to the current version to have the most current information for your car.
