hi guys, is there anyone that could check my mk1 leon?

having problems with starting my car and also the rev meter going crazy (up and down, revving itself, etc)

Unplug the maf and try. Chances are it's failed high scale.
Where a bouts in cov are you.?

Oddly enough, I was also going to suggest the MAF, or an air leak somewhere around the same area.

cheers guys, im from stoke in coventry. i had the throttle body cleaned because i thought it might be that, but it didnt do the trick, i was thinkin maybe it needs replacing?

Ah, did you have the throttle body realigned when you got it cleaned? That could also cause the issues you have.

just got the car checked out an apparantly its the lambda sensor and temp sensor that needs replacing, can anyone do this? or could recommend someone? how much should i be looking at?

Temp sensor £30 and an hour to fit (with a coolant flush probably), lambda sensor £50-£100 each (there are usually two so find out which one you need to replace) and an hour to fit.
