VAGTacho Lead required – Help!!

Hi all – I’m in a bit of a bind and could really do with some help, I need to get a speedo unit re-coded (SKC immo code) before Sunday, and the local dealers are being less then no-use.

Has anyone got a VagTacho lead and the relevant software that I could borrow for 20 minutes? Obviously I’ll travel to you and sort you some beer money (or some beer if you like) and the closer you are to Birmingham the better.

I’ve already tried to use a VAG-COM lead and it won’t do the job, so it’s VagTacho only this one.

I tried it on my 2002 (51) leon TDI and it doesn't work. In the end I just walked into the dealer and asked for the code - they gave it me free.

I thought dealers stopped giving the code?

Or no longer had access to it??
