Valuation of my Cupra GTI

I'm not sure if this is the correct location, but I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough valuation for my cupra gti...

Have to sell unfortunately to fund my mini project, else i'll never get round to completing it.

Its the blue gti 2.0 16v, the white ronal multi-spoke wheels, half leather red striped interior. Has 47k on the clocks and Full Seat Service History. MOT until July and just taxed for 6 months. Totally standard.

47k and depending on body work and how old it is, id say not far off £1000 ish, if its really nice.

500-1000 pounds isnt a lot if I compare it to prices here in the Netherlands. I payed 900 pounds for a 1.6 with 190k on the dial and that was a bargain.

Here in the uk if it does less than 40mpg you don't expect to be paying much over £1000 at the moment. I love the Mk2 ibiza, but at the end of the day the price has to be right to balance out the cost of running one at the moment.

Agreed, car prices here are rock bottom, you can get RX8's for £2.5k, S14 200sx's (not a's) for under £2k (with substantial mods to make it more than standard).

So a 13+ year old MK2 ibiza GTI that doesn't have much of a classic status (like a MK2 golf GTI has) doesn't stand a chance at the moment.

Best time to buy in my opinion, some crazy bargains to be had, but selling unfortunately, unless something special about it (low miles yes, but still not special enough).

So the road taxes and the fuel price in the UK lower the prices of cars? Thats news for me.
I know that the gas prices in the NL are the highest in the EU so I try to use the car as little as possible. Roadtaxes arent that bad though I pay 200 pounds a year in road tax

Well its all related to supply and demand really, at the moment fuel and insurance prices are high so everyones looking for something cheap to run and insure - not a GTi 16v. People like me will buy car's that aren't cheap to run provided they can get them at the right price to compensate for those costs.

Taxes and fuel prices play a very big part, look in the classifieds in the UK and you will see lots of very nice cars going cheaply because they are expensive to run. You can get a tidy MK1 leon cupra with change from £1500 these days.

So why does everyone in UK whinge about the cost of whatever to do with cars?
we're not the only ones paying for the privilege.

The OP's a decent enough guy from what I know through talking to him about it, its just that none of us have put a value on it which will see him recoup most of what he spent on it.
