Any suggestions and or guides for VCDS tweaks for the ATECA?

I'm keen to enable the folding wing mirrors on locking, but there seems to be more info for OBD11 than VCDS (which I already have!)

Happy to update this post with any good tweaks for reference :)

You just have to convert those

I took VCDS ones and recoded them to Obdeleven. Had assistance on the panoramic roof, the tailgate beeper. The folding mirrors when locking came from the Seat Club site. Others standard VAG ones

Two things 2020 face lifted models have the locked down VCDS system on certain control units so if the mod crosses into that locked down unit its not going to happen. Those 5 digit security codes are not enough. It was put in to stop people tampering with VCDS. There is a belief in some quarters that there will be an agreement between VCDS tool providers and VAG. I can't see that happening myself given it was put in to clamp down on modding. More talk on that on the Leon 4 thread. If it does happen VAG will want money out of VCDS providers.

The protection is called SFD and attached is the briefing PDF on that. Dealers ODIS get a token and can do the mod in real time. No token no mod on those control units.

Second one on your mirrors in on lock. The first Ateca's back in 2016 had the annoying stand at the car, hold the Kessy for three seconds and the mirrors go in as a second step (step 1 lock the car, step 2 hold for 3 seconds mirrors in). 2018 or so Seat enabled the menu where you could optionally close the mirrors in one touch. To my knowledge that menu is now on all Seats. You just toggle so it works that way. For two years of manufacturer that was a suppressed menu which you could bring up. Basically Seat in it's wisdom decided that Seat Kessy would work that way, they gave up :). I modded the menu up. Similar one to turn daylight running lights off. Handy if you sit in the car doing mods and don't want the lights on etc. They are suppressed menus build into the system but suppressed.

Ok reading your other post you have the two year window one so you need to find this in VCDS. That's the settings I took from the Spanish board and wrapped then in Obdeleven finding those adaption toggles.

That is interesting - Mine has fold on lock as an option (and ticked) but it doesn't do it! 2017 xcellence. They fold if I hold the button on the remote though...

Perhaps a previous owner didn't action all the steps so something is missing out. I'd review the values against what at the bottom of post 2. The Club Seat instructions I took. That works. What I used in the mod.

The second bit is right, you got the menu turned on but it would seem the first step hasn't been done correctly.
