Got the latest version of VCDS, with a proper Ross-Tech KEY-USB lead, on Windows 7 x64. It won't connect to my LCR, but works fine on a LC TDI. On the TDI, Baud 1 try 1 fails, but it then switches to Baud 2 try 1 and works. On the LCR, Baud 1 try 1 fails, but then it goes to Baud 1 try 2 (then 3, and 4) which all fail before an error message saying can't connect.
VCDS sees the cable, and if I use the VCDS test function, it gives me the right info (it knows it's a KEY-USB lead, knows what firmware version it is, and says that both K-lines are OK. But it can't connect to any of the controllers, and can't connect in OBD2 mode. Tried another laptop just in case, but the second laptop won't work with the LCR either. Disconnected the battery for about 10 minutes as a last resort (as I wanted to read the fault code causing the EML) and now the EML is gone but VCDS still won't work.
Any other ideas?
