Just got my beloved LC back on the road!! i last drove it on christmas eve and after having a new slave cylinder and 2x new tyres she seems to be better other then a noticable increse in turbo lag! to be fair before she was poorly you could notice abit of lag when the foot went down but when the turbo started spinning she was off! but now it seems as though it stutters i.e i put my foot down get abit of lag then she pulls away but then another bit of lag and so on and so forth! is it that she has just been sitting around for awhile and just needs a bit of tlc or could it be something else!!!

can anyone help

what you describe sounds like surging power delivery? This could be maf or n75 related amongst other things; or maybe she needs some fresh v-power and a good run :)

just filled her up with some good old 99ron! all she needs now is a blast but that will have to wait till the wife is not sitting next to me! worked it out that the same fuel was proberly sitting in the tank for about a month and its had a lot of snow lay its cold hands on her somewhat dirty bonnet! i think a clean is also in order!
is it worth giving the filter a good clean and also maybe the maf sensor!

damn its good to have her back i have been stuck with my bloody van!! [:@]

The part cost me about £25 but unfortunatly unless you know someone who can help then it's going to cost ya for the slave cylinder is in the gearbox so along with a lot of other things it has to come out! I was fortunate that my brother inlaw could do it for me so it only cost me £25 plus about 6hours of his time! You also need to be carefull that if the slave cylinder has been leaking fluid that it hasn't damaged the clutch!!

Might as well try sparks tho, I'm having the same problem. Just gave mine it's full service, oil, filters, sparks the works and still having same problem. I upgraded the dv and still no luck. Next for me is to properly hunt for cracks and splits in the hoses (as vag tells me I have a boost leak!) and if no luck pull out the big dollar and get a new maf, hopefully that'll sort it..

yeah i got my mechanic mate to plug it in, got a boost leak code and a running rich code. since the service 2 weeks ago my codes havent come back but it's still hestitant at pulling away, usually in 2nd gear at around 2500rpm, but its not all the time which is weird.
