VIn Number location

Hi guys does anyone know where i will find the vehicle id tag,
i've looked in the boot but nothing, where else can i look, i just need to know my engine number and check the vin.

in the middle of the engine bay at the back it's normally stamped on the bulkhead. Also - small black plate (in the engine bay), and the sticker in the boot floor under the carpet

thanks for that, i've looked in the boot, lifted the carpet hooked it on the parcel shelf, moved the spare wheel out and still cant see the plate?
How big is it, is it in the middle, to the left?

it's a sticker, not a plate (in teh boot)

the best place to look is on the chassis under the bonnet - right at the back

On my LCR the VIN number is displayed in a panel on the lower right side of the windscreen (when facing the front of the car) .
