I've just completed the deal on swapping my 12 plate vRS wagon (petrol, Sharked a bit plus a couple of sensible minor tweaks) for a nealry new Cupra 280. Did a deal with that and a brand new Ibiza FR for the Missus which we collect on Monday. I've been fairly active on Briskoda.net, and will continue as there are some helpful types that frequent their pages. However, since I've now got a Seat, I thought that it would be wise to sign up here, if it's half as good an experience as brisky then it will be excellent!

Thanks. Got a good deal, started the morning with a Golf R and polo on the shopping list, but the cupra offer was simply too good to pass up.
The ibiza FR "only" has the 1.4tsi engine, so 140 bhp or thereabouts. Nothing too dramatic thankfully. She's moving up from an ancient X plate focus 1.6, so I'm more concerned about the distractions of auto stop/start, Bluetooth and satnav all vying for her attention.

Cupra was £21k with lots options, equivalent golf was nearly £33k. Used polo with 8k on clock 1.2tsi was £10 pm more than the brand new ibiza on a pcp. Vw bundle was £250 more pm on finance than the seat deal so it was a pretty easy decision to make. Only reason for me to take the golf over the seat is 4wd.

She can disable stop start, I know I will. Irritating and largely pointless fuel saving gimmick.
