never knew that it is not like Dodo juice shampoos that are not meant to strip wax off then (after each wash I would re-apply wax anyway)
With any product, even the Dodo Juice shampoos take off protection. The reason for this is because people tend to put more shampoo on that the chemists specify. When they say "will not strip wax", it wont strip wax if you follow the correct quantities.

You shouldnt really be reapplying wax after every wash. Remember the more you touch your car the more your increasing the potential to scratch/swirl the paint. Also the more layers of wax you put on you will get yellowing as there are too many layers of wax on.

Get a good wax like Autoglym HD or Collinite 476S and wax every 2-3 months.

Depends how often you clean the car really (I am normally very good but been very lazy this summer and I do very low mileage) I uses Dodo Juice wax atm and it does last a few months depending on how ofton I wash the car. I found I would have to put another layer on every now and then and like you say you are washing it off and found it does not last as long and look as good for as long if I don't.

Hmmm you should still get a good few months from a good wax even if you wash it once or twice a week.

last time I waxed the car was in February. I topped the protection up not because the car needed it (beading was still strong) but to protect the initial layer and add to the depth.

If your wax is washing away then it might not be bonding properly to the paint. These are the things running through my head atm.

1) Did you clay the car before the initial layer of wax?
2) Do you give the car a wipe down with QD before applying the wax?
3) Are you applying the wax thinly and evenly?
4) Are you applying a second coat straight after?
5) What wax are you using?
6) Are you following the dilution ratio's of your shampoo product?
7) What shampoo are you using?

Then I recommend making sure you QD the car before waxing so surface it as clean as possible so wax bonds and follow the dilution ratios.
