Grrr I’ve curb damaged my wheel very slightly on the copper coloured rim. My mobile repairer won’t attempt it as he can’t promise a match. I’ve read through old posts and it seems a cosmetic repair is not possible. Has anyone had a repair done recently that they were happy with?

I'm dreading the day I do mine! Haven't got a paint solution (I believe the paint code is L27A but like the proverbial rocking horse poop) but have you considered alloy gators. It would at least prevent further damage and is one uniform rim colour? Maybe something like THESE

Thanks for the link, I could send them back if they don’t match I guess. Evidently it’s the tinted lacquer that gives the repairers the problems and the scarcity of the Cupra copper coloured wheels coming through the repair shop for them to have built up a knowledge base.

Be wary of Gators they can cause more damage. Dirt and grime get underneath them wearing away the clear coat leaving a mark when removed. Others have experienced them coming loose and then whipping the side of the car causing a lot of damage. Just have a good read before considering them.

I was considering a copper colored nailpolish myself, if I ever ended up scratching them. Easy to cancel.

For those worrying about damaging their wheels, I’ve had a cosmetic repair done by http://www.dwv.co.uk/ and I’m very pleased with the result. I would say it’s 99% invisible. The technician was Tom and he covers the north west.

guys I have already caused the first damage to the bag of the right rear rim right on the copper-colored part; I would like to try to retouch it and I am undecided whether by brush or spray dispenser; should the code be L27A?

L27A has been suggested but is hard to get hold of. For such a small area I would use a touch up pencil or brush, if you can source it.

a lot of people I’ve seen have had to have the 4wheels repainted as they couldn’t find anyone that could match due to the tinted lacquer
