Want to polish my charge pipe

Could anybody tell me what i would need to get a mirror finish on my charge pipe once i have it off? Is it possible to do it by hand or with a drill with a attatchment on the end? Or is it a pro jobby?

you need quite a few bits to do it properly, iv done a few now, and they are pretty easy - if you have the right tools. We use an angle grinder with different grades of polishing mops, abrasive first off to get rid of the deeps marks, then less abrassive to flatten it off, then a polishing one to get it mirror shiney, iv had very good results so far, its just time consuming.

Hmmm that sounds more like it, how much are they charging you for you mani? dont suppose you know how much they charge for a charge pipe ?

they charge £20/hour so i would guess about 2/3 hrs? they laughed when i mentioned diy kits as they use a 5hp lathe to do their polishing on give them a ring and ask for paul

Spot on i think ill give them a call, £60 isnt bad to bling up the engine bay alittle bit!
