Hi guys, I have sat in silent on this forum for months but I was wondering if anyone can help.

I have a 2004 Leon Cupra R. Lucky me!!

On my way home tonight a warning light has appeared on the dashboard. It is the Diagnosis / Pollution Sensor light (number 13 in the owners manual). Car seems to be running fine but the light will not go off. It is the one that looks like an engine.

Any ideas on what it is or do I need to take it into the dealers...??

Any help appreciate before I get lifted of my hard earned!!

Cheers, David.

See if there is someone with VAG com in your area, get it put onto that and get a better idea of what is going on
Sounds like it might be CAT problems

Should I be getting something like that at 24,000 miles though? I was thinking something along those lines but surely not with reasonable miles like that or are am I kidding myself? Cheers.

there are tons of threads on this and it happened to me a couple weeks ago...most people find its one of a few things

coil pack....but if the car is running find not likely that
lambda sensors
coolant temp sensor....this is what it was on mine, £28 from dealer 5 min pull out plug in to change it. Just remember to do it when engine is cold. It's also not located on top of the coolant bottle...its on the right hand side of the engine when facing it.

if you search on here for it theres pics and stuff

I went to a local garage and just asked them to scan it quickly, they didn't charge but that might be coz i use them often! wasn't a dealer either just a "fred with a shed".

Hope this is useful.
