If your traction control light come on and ur brake pad sensor also, then looks like you have a problem some were down there lol take ur wheel of and clean the ABS sensor it may be covered in crap, it's a magnet and can get really dirty, ur brake pad sensor, just unplug it and cut the plug of and splice the wires together then tape them up that will stop the light from ever coming on again that's what I've done, don't need the sensor as you can see the pads.
All 4 wheels should have sensors, it'd be easier getting the codes read or using vcds lite if you don't want to get full vcds.
If you can use a laptop and Google then you should be fine with vcds lite and a cable for around £15 I would of thought, you can at least read codes then so you know what's wrong 
Before you do any of that I would suggest removing the wheels (one at a time 
) and clean up the ABS ring and sensor area with a fine wire brush.
As said above it may well be the accumulation of brake dust and road crap - at least it won't cost you anything to do and if it clears then you're quids in

I'll pass it on to people when they need something like this, I have full vcds as I'm always using it, plus quite a few other cables in my bag of goodies Iv currently got an ABS fault and I thought it was a botched repair, when I went to patch it up it was the same cables that where broken further up from the repair so replacement cable is needed instead, and I hate warning lights with a passion

No probs mate, yeh there a nightmare but most of them u can normally tell what's wrong, but when the EML on then out comes the VCDS lol, good luck if you need it haha
Can you confirm which lights are coming on, and what colour? use this diagram for reference.

20 is indeed pad wear, and there is just one sensor for this, which is a bit of wire embedded in the nearside front pad (inner pad I think). When it wears through, the dash light comes on. Doesn't usually affect the brake system in any way, it's just a warning.
Check the cable to the nearside front caliper to see if it has been damaged, or otherwise check the pad to see if it has worn down prematurely (maybe a sticky caliper...)
26, as you know, is TCS/ESP. Since you have ESP, it could be one of the ESP sensors - best to check the fault code with VCDS.
