This one is really annoying me.
I've turned off the traffic announcement options in the settings, but when I join motorways at peak hours, the car loves to tell me that there is slow traffic on it.

Mmmm, I know this, I'm sat in it. Can anyone please tell me where else to look to turn off this? The TP announcement is definitely off.

It's the SEAT voice control voice, so I'm missing a setting somewhere.

Thanks in advance

Have you tried the volume area for this:

Announcements : To set the playback volume of announcements, for example traffic announcements

Isn't Traffic Announcements part of the RDS system for radio stations? I would have suggested the above is traffic notifications (TMC) via sat nav instead. Check Navigation/Navigation Settings?

I will check both areas. The TMC via the Sat Nav sounds more plausible as it's definitely the "SEAT voice" as appears on the voice control.

It definitely can't hurt to look at both. It's just strange how I've obviously got everything else turned off, but that "warning, blah ahead" is still active.

Thank you both for your replies.

I've just looked and whilst (in settings) you can lower the navigation volume this will be for all spoken instructions I feel. It doesn't look like you can turn TMC notifications off.

Strangely enough I was about to write that! That's quite annoying. Took me a while to find the navigation volume settings (the one thing about this unit is that not all settings are under settings. Grr!)

I only use Google Maps anyway so the lack of sat nag isn't an issue for me, but it's slightly annoying that you can't turn that specific warning off. I don't mind when it gives me a heads up, but it's like the GPS is slow to update, so I only get the "warning, slow traffic on the <motorway name>" as I'm sitting in it.

Great idea, poorly executed. Anyway, will test it during the next rush hour run I do!
