Warning sound for lights

Hi peeps, noticed the other day on my Sport that even when the lighs are turned off, the warning sound still comes on when exiting the car. This doesn't happen everytime mind. Any one else seen ths problem??

your not leaving your indicator stork in the right or left position are you?? this would leave your parking lights on eiter side of the car causing that sound.... if not ain't got a clue

Thanks Chris, you were right, feel a bit of a plonker Pretty sure that hasn't been an issue on other cars i have driven tho

It's because with the lights off, but the indicator stalk left or right, you will have that sidelight illuminated (L or R). It's for when you park on the street at night or whatever.
Some cars have separate parking light switches, but you just use the indicator with the Ibiza.

I have twice managed to trick the Can-Bus into leaving the dash board lights and rear lights on .. not sure how or why .. just switched lights on and off again and they went out..

... but normal thing is the indicator/parking lights trick...
