warning sound

i have a seat alhambra 1.9tdi and tonight my wife was driving the car when we hard a sound like a warning sound just like when you open the door when you are going to stop but it was just one bleep and she said that there were a symbol next to the outside temperature reading it might be nothing but you never know i.e the out side temperature was going up and down from 3c to 2c can you help

This beep is usually accompanied by the temperature siplay flashing. It simply warns of low temperature/ice risk
