Hi just a quick question is it normal to be expected to pay for a diagnostic check if the car is still under warranty ?

Just booked mine in for radio been unresponsive when its freezing outside and they mentioned a diagnostic charge right at the end of the conversation , they allready have a video showing it not responding to any inputs

I've heard of a few dealers of all makes trying this.
Often followed by we'll only charge you if we don't find an under warranty fault.
Bit naughty especially as you have proof in the form of a video of it happening
I'd find a decent dealer, or get straight on to the principle or director of said garage and ask why the f*** they are charging you for what would be a warranty claim

No way! If it's under warranty and you have proof of the issue existing, they should be repairing it free of charge.

I'd report them to Seat head office.
