A dealership wont even notice that sorta thing.... I wouldnt worrie
Mine whent in for some warrenty work, and the 'in ya face' mods such as lowered, and exhaust they spotted and 'advised' me they were not 'right'
Whilst they didnt say a word about the Forge FMIC (even tho they had to drain it after the turbo blow up) Didnt mention the 312mm were the wrong size and so on so forth.
Oh tho they did mention I had a none gen alarm system fitted as when I unlock and lock the car it 'bleeps'
I laughed alot and asked to speak to the bloke that put that on the report sheet, to get the man behind the desk say that several fully trained seat techie's said the same thing in their garage as they have never heard one do that before.
Im sure Seat dealers used to offer one many a moon ago, but dont anymore from what I can gather.
Basically, yes they do on any item taht is effected by it, so if your turbo blows up, they will blame it on the map and say sod off. If your paintwork flakes then no, its still ok.
Tho, ive had some fun reasons why mine isnt under warrenty in the past, aka my drinkers holder isnt under warrenty as I have fitted a non OEM CD player?!
anything you fit to a car is not covered by the vehicle warranty unless it's an approved accessory
i've been told recently that a re-map invalidates a warranty full-stop. however, i've had conflicting evidence that it only invalidates the engine compartment not the whole car as a whole???
an air filter i guess would do the same
