My scooshy stuff ran out a few days ago and it wasn't till I read the manual again that I realised it should have warned me but it never.

I've read another post in the Mk1 section that disconnecting the battery cured a low fuel level warning so i will try that tonight.

Also now that I think about it the car hasn't been beeping when it shows the frost warning.. I'll test some more buzzers at dinner time.

Any other thoughts or words of wisdom?

I don't think the car warns against low washer fluid, mine never did. It might only work if you hav ethe bluetooth option with the larger dash display?

My interpretation of the manual was that you should get a light on the dash of an icon the same as the washer bottle cap. The beep i don't know about but it suggests those with the MFD will get additional text such as "LOW SCREENWASH".

I will see if i am having problems with other warnings and if so look further into it.

I've got the MFD and don't get a warning about low washer fluid levels or light on the dash.

Car going in for service in next couple of weeks so will get the garage to look at it then, in the manual it does state "depending on model version".

I asked about this at my first service, they said that my car doesn't have it

Mine is a Stylance, so all the bells and whistles, plus i have the bluetooth option to include the larger MFD.

I think I might pester them again at the next service.

Looking at the literature there's no indication of this being an option or only on specific models.. in fact there is absolutely no reference to it in any the current brochure. The icon is on the dash if you shine a torch at it.. whether theres a bulb and a sensor I've yet to find out. We should at least have the icon and you should have the extra message on the MFD

my golf with the highline computer has not got it, it only comes with the winter pack i think...
Maybe this is the same with the leon

Some cars have it but others don't. I think the higher the spec of your car the morelikely it is you have it. The manuals are generic and assume you know whether your car has it or not (ie whether to ignore that section or not)

I have done a little investigation (looked at a few brochues) and i don't think any of the curent range has the washer fluid indicator. Of the Mk 1 Leons though the higher spec cars seem to have it

##edit## I have spoken to a salesman and SEAT no longer do the indicator, at least in the UK

Speaking of warning lights that dont appear the manual talks about a cruise control warning light to show when the switch is in the on position, neither my car nor one I test drove displayed the light! anyone know if this is like the washer fluid light no longer current??

Mine has the cruise control light when cruise is activated, not just when the switch is set to on position - when I was talking to the garage the other day about the washer fluid, they did say that some cars don't have a cruise control light whereas others do, didn't say what the criteria for that was though (ie build dates etc.)

might have to speak to seat next time i take the car in about the lights I have sport version like yourself just without the bluetooth pack

I have got one on my MK 1 LEON 1.6 sx 53 reg.

I think it was on the Mk 1s as the washer fluid bottle was quite hidden and it was difficult to see how much was in. I don't know about the Mk 2 engine bay but if the washer fluid reservoir is on display then I guess it's up to you to check!
