Right. Just undone the bolt on inside and pushed it out at the top and looks like the outer clear casing has come away from the other casing so letting water in....

How does it come off totally?

The are more expensive that you think. i think there about £80 each.

I happen to have a pair of rear(tailgate) light clusters for a FL leon for sale if you are interested, assuming you have a FL.

You should buy like another design rather than the stock one if you'd like. I've seen some amazing looking tail lights, just search this section and you'll see dozens of threads about this.

Would this be fixed under warranty? I noticed the same issue today on my 60 plate Leon sport

Take the light out and move it around until you find the sweet spot where the water trickles out. Once you got most of it out put in a bucket or big container and fill with uncooked rice, then pop it in the hot press or somewhere warm. It'll dry out in no time :D

Do not make the same mistake I did and try evaporate it out with a heat gun, my tail light went all kinds of funny shapes :(

Assuming the water is getting in around the 'red lens' then this is because there is a section of glue missing. You can run some sealant around it but you may find it doesn't work.
