water leak!

last nite (in very heavy rain) we noticed i have a bad water leak coming in behind the glove box and flowing down under the carpet and goin in2 a puddle at the passenger footwell, done a search and couldnt find anything apart from a leon with the same problem,,, advice please!!!

Check the pollen filter is fitted correctly and not full of leaves or obsructed.

I had the very same problem a few weeks ago, I siliconed up the grommet i had used for my amp and that seemed to do the trick. check the rear passenger footwell aso as thats where mine was worse.

where is the pollen filter?? had a look but not sure

my 2 cents....in that pic, there is an outer hole near the yellow arrow, and an inner hole just under the right hand 'O' (from what ive read here it's for the left hand drive bonnet release catch cable). you can get at them without removing trim, but you'll need to lift up the chunky rubber seal strip and prise the plastic up a bit

You coming to this meet tonight mate? I can show u then if u want? U basically have to remove the tray under the glove box and its in a housing there. Its a common problem on the Leons and has been happening on some Ibizas!

as seen on sky news bad weather here, took me 1hr to do 10 miles!!! anyways i got water comin in through my window or door seals and behind the glovebox!! how annoying!
