Water Pump Cx with Timing Belt

Do people change the water pump at the same time as the timing belt on the PD? If so what number is it for the metal impeller one as GSF quoted me £22.50 and it was a bakerlite one for my ATD.

IIRC the TDIs dont have the same problem as the 1.8t so waterpumps are not req/

I think they do.

My second PD130 kept on overheating and we had no idea why. I've read on here about them going and the symptoms were the same for mine.

Did you replace with the standard one then? Or should I try and source one of these metal impellor ones

Nah I sold the car with the fault. Wish I kept it now!
