water pump

My water pump has let go on my 20vt. I have removed the pump and most of the remains of the impellor. The issue that I have is that part of the impellor is missing and i cant feel it in the hole were the pump came out from. I am wondering if there is any way to flush the engine block at all as i am hoping that this will clear the remaining plastic.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

hosepipe in the expansion tank whilst the pump is off. i wouldnt worry too much though, its probably been missing longer then you think!!! just make sure you get a non genuine water pump with a metal impellor

No as when mine was last changed in june the garage could only obtain a plastic one from the dealers
