He's got a diesel car that he's not using for racing, he means why bother spending that sort of money on fancy trick bits that only really are used to specialist cars or used for a purpose other than to make it weigh a bit less and gain a couple of miles per gallon.

ive got pages of info but i wanna know how much difference it will make and whether it will be worth it
basically shimming out a spring in the fuel pump to allow more flow at higher revs
kinda giving you a powerband at high revs
at low revs the engine will behave the same
so the way i see it its a bonus because same fuel economy until your foots welded to the floor
