Weitec lowering springs

I've fitted some weitec lowering springs to my LCR, front and back. The back seem fine but I have a problem with the fronts. Evertime I turn left or right the front springs seem to be clonking togethor. When I looked into the arches the springs seem really tight and I am guessing this is not right and this is what is causing the noise.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I may have done wrong?

What do you mean by top mounts? Mine were replaced a few months ago.

Sounds like the strut top bearing has failed or has been incorrectly fitted.

What's the strut top bearing?

the bearing that allows the strut to turn freely, if the strut is tight the spring will make banging noise. Can't say for sure that's the issue though.

Is this different to the top mount beating?

Solved it. It was the spring disc in upside down, I just needed to drop the shock absorber down and flip them over (not quite as simple as that but all sorted now).
