We’ve love having you as part of the forum and always enjoy reading your thoughts and experiences with the cars we all enjoy.

So, tell us a bit more about your own car:
  • What CUPRA or SEAT model do you drive?
  • What made you choose it over other options?
  • Has it lived up to your expectations?
  • Would you buy the same model again, or are you thinking of changing next time?
Whether it’s performance, practicality, styling, value, or simply because you fell in love with it, we’d love to hear your story.

Your experiences could really help members who are new to the brands and trying to decide on their next car.

Photos are definitely welcome too — bonus points for sharing them. We love seeing your CUPRAs and SEATs here at Crewe!

Ateca VZ3

My third Ateca VZ in 5 years, moving up the scale from VZ1 owned for two years. I missed full leather so gravitated to VZ2 for another two years and then nine months ago got the opportunity to go VZ3.

Why Ateca VZ?

1. 300PS+, DSG etc

2. Will carry four adults. I'm 6ft 2in, 110kg and can sit in the back with the front seat set for me. Boot large enough for a wheelchair. I drive as a volunteer for a local community transport charity.

3. Built by Skoda. I had a very happy relationship with Skoda and their cars for twenty years or so before moving to Cupra.

Simples.

Seat Ibiza Bocanegra

* Anniversary Model, Rare (both engine & car)
* Yes, considering all the avoidance horror stories of the 1 4 twincharger.
* Although very fun to drive I wouldn't buy another, always fancied an Audi S4 V6 Supercharged.

What CUPRA or SEAT model do you drive?
2008 MK2 SEAT Leon FR

What made you choose it over other options?
Considered a MKV GTi but approx. £4k more spec for spec from memory. Also considered an Astra VXR, quick, but g/f hated it as very dark inside. Focus ST was a strong contender but decided on the SEAT.

Robinsons SEAT in Lowestoft were excellent, best dealership I have dealt with (0%APR was a bonus as well).

Has it lived up to your expectations?
Yes, no major issues in 18years. Still looks good, is easily quick enough. Only negative is that the ride can be flipping stiff around town especially with all these potholes.

Would you buy the same model again, or are you thinking of changing next time?
I did actually order a new MK3 FR 1.8 Leon in 2015, but it was damaged beyond repair at the Port in Barcelona. I could have reordered but it was another 12wk wait so I took that as an omen and kept my MK2 (thread on here somewhere).

No immediate plans to sell but have been tempted by a Mazda3 recently, and would consider a MK3 Leon 290 if i found a decent one.
