Started the long and frankly tedious task of applying felt to all the plasticy storage areas this evening. Gone for black with white edges to match the bucket seats and stitching. So far finished cubby hole next to the aux/usb ports and under the armrest.

Still to do - door pockets, glove box and possibly cup holders as I use them more as storage than for drinks.

Replaced rear 3rd brake light under insurance. It seems like some i***t tried to steal it with screwdriver and broke it.
Im about to get ir camera to record moving around the car while at home.

Went for a drive tonight and tried the launch control for the first time.

Of all the words to describe the occasion, 'control' would be last on the list, it was awful. Bounced off the limiter in first, bounced off the limiter in second then once into 3rd it gripped and went. Must have taken me nearly 10 seconds to get to 60. Might give it another go once I have the torque arm insert and decent rubber on but on the whole it was very dissappointing. I didn't buy the car for getting off the line but did expect it to be better.

Its hard to do lanch control, but when you get used to it,its fine. You need good asphalt, and if you go with full on gas pedal, you will get wheel spin.I usually stay on half of gas pedal till 40-60 km/h to get good grip then on full.Few times I get 5,5 sec,but it could be better with practice.I got 3700 km with car,and already 3-4 mm of front tyres and gone.2 days ago police got me on radar 178 km/h :) and restriction is 50 km/h.Usually people drive there around 80-120,in 1 hour they made around 200 tickets.Luckly my friend was working that day and he deleted my picture.

How do you activate launch control.

Usually I put in cupra mode, disable ESP and then press brake and gas pedal together,it will activate itself. You will see on board computer.Just release brake pedal and then car will start.Be just carefull to have a plenty of space on the road.Dont do it on the street.

I held the esp button to turn it off. Not sure if it still works if you just press it to turn esp to sport. Maybe then the wheelspin might be a bit more controlled.

When ESP in sport usually you will loose some time if wheels going to wheel spin, cause Traction Control will try to stop spinning. If its turned off completely no more trying to stop.

I have done maybe 3 or 4 launch control starts in my 300 DSG 4Drive. Its mega...

No wheelspin, no screeching - just pinned to the back of the seat and in licence losing territory very quickly.

Does this work with DSG? If I rev normally in neutral, it only revs to 4K usually and then drops down. Some kind of safety feature or something...
